Badme girl

She is looking back, with her tearful eyes, to her village; the village she was born and raised, the village she had been going to school, the village she sang Abebayehosh with her friends for Enkutatash,…the village where her identity lies, and above all, the village what made her ETHIOPIAN.

She is crying with a bleeding heart, since her village is not there anymore. It was destroyed by wicked Eritrean govt. army on May 12/ 1998. The little children, with whom she used to sing Abebayehosh, weren’t around for this new-year. They were brutally massacred with the same govt. army that forced her parents for exodus. The church that she used to go to every Sunday, with her mother, was burned down to ash. Even to make matters worse, it is not her land anymore! The Green, Yellow, and Red color flag that defines her identity was torn-up and replaced with a 5 years –old flag.

Thanks to proud Ethiopians, this will be changed pretty soon. Ethiopians from Four Corners of the country are ready to pay the ultimate price in evicting this evil driven army and restore the integrity of our land.

" 'Ethiopia has never been conquered by anyone, not even Italy, and certainly not now by Eritrea, ' said Khalibie Tadesse, a commander of a militia unit marching towards the front. ' Our ancestors have always kicked out invaders, and we will do the same now.' "
