Meles's coup d'etat - Quoreta by Bonapartism
By X-TPLF member, MLeul, Canada
Bonapartism - A transitional form of government between the regimes of parliamentary democracy and fascism, based on dictatorship and military force during a period when class rule is not secure. The activities of the Fidiris, the massive para-military political associations, supported Napoleon during the Hundred Days. First used in reference to the government established by Louis Bonaparte which had been elected to the office of presidency in 1848. Three years following, on 2 December, 1851, he staged a coup d'etat against his government, setting up a military dictatorship in its place.
Are we (Ethiopians, for that matter Eritreans) in a stage of military dictatorship, again? If we are, what a shame to the Tigrean people in particular, who suffer the most in overthrowing the dictatorial regime of the Derg. Meles, fought with TPLF for 17 years of protracted war. The question is for what? What a sleazy way to come to power through so much sufferings of our people and our martyrs. How dare you say by the name of our martyrs, as if you care and step on their bones.
Eritreans have been gloating these days, thinking that they are the one who have been doing the changes in Addis. Wrong. The second strong man in Eritrean politics, Sherifo, and others as such, were frozen by Isayas. You have been under dictatorship.
Does bonapartism has any value to the gimgema (evaluation) after the war with Eritrea? To Ethiopia, it is irrelevant, as TPLF does not believe in coup d’etat. If the dissidents group would have believed in coup d’etat, they could have done it, just before the war started. At that time, the Ethiopian people were so angry on Meles. In fact they might have had the blessing of the Ethiopian people, contrary to what we are observing now. A walk-out is just a cover up for his guilt to expel (12 members) and justify his deeds. Otherwise, in a democratic country, such as Canada, where I live, and USA, there could be a pro-heated debate and somebody may walk-out angrily from the debate. Nonetheless, he/she will return the next day to resume the debate apologizing only for the walk-out. They should never apologize for their opinions. The Audit Commission concluded that Meles’s deeds were illegal and unconstitutional. Nobody is above the law. But, Meles doesn’t care.
When our leaders were ready to do their own gimgema, the CIA was watching and has done its own gimgema already, thinking who suits best for the sale-out of Ethiopia. The gimgema of Ferengies has taken the lives of King Thewodros, King Yohannes IV, King Hailesselassie in recent history and probably our Kings in the past.
Quoreta is a system where you hit first the top chief commander in the field. By doing that the bottom have nothing to communicate & fight with, thereby, is easy to attack the rest soldiers in the field. I equate this Quoreta to Meles's manipulative way of becoming dominant in power by expelling the 12 dissident group called hard-liners. Was it Meles's sleazy idea or CIA's idea? I can only demonstrate whether it is Meles’s or CIA’s (British intelligence) idea, for no one can find CIA's motives behind-the-scenes. Better to examine the issue behind-the-scenes than listening to Meles & the puppy cadres.
Meles admitted just before the war that Ethiopia had been asked to give a concession. During the war a mystery CIA's spy airplane flew from Italy, landed in Egypt and Asmara, finally was hit by our military force in Tigray, after the pilots were warned not to pass through the war zone of Tigray. They did, by ignoring the warning. Coincidence? I doubt it 100% . Two Ferengies were dead. Nobody claimed responsibility. They swallowed their pride and waited till the fat lady sings. How about during the war in Badme. No matter what Ethiopia said was not counted, but what Eritrea bluffed and lied has been counted at face value. At the helm of lies was Alexander Last, when he claimed that Shaebia was deep inside Shieara, while our defense forces have already liberated Geaza Enda Gebreselassie. What is the whole fuss about us fighting with Eritrea? Didn’t we fight for 30 years before? After all, they are our brothers and sisters across the Mereb river, who took the wrong turn in history. There was/is/will be a hidden agenda behind-the-scenes. The mystery of that hidden agenda is to keep Ethiopia & at the same token Eritrea in POVERTY. This has been well designed by the Arabs (mainly, by Syria and Egypt) and now being supported by USA. The reason is simple, if you are poor, you can’t use ABBAY. Their philosophy is to kill the emerging economy before it gets out of hand.
The war, we Ethiopians fought in self-defense was legitimate and the UN should have been by our side. UN, EU, USA etc., indicated that this war was senseless. Why senseless? The main reason examining the case of senseless was, USA didn't want Ethiopia & Eritrea to prove anything to the world by killing each other and wasting their limited resources. At the final stage of the war, CIA knew, Ethiopia and Eritrea, as black, as curly, as negger as they are, they (Ethiopia & Eritrea) are going to do as they were told, by the Ferengies. Now, it is crystal clear and understandable. Now it makes sense to call it senseless. For these reasons, it has been concluded that the wars of Eritrea for 30 years and the wars of Tigray for 17 years are valueless and senseless. Shame on those who have been played as boys of CIA, such as, Isayas and Meles, to come to power by destroying our own people and country. The seeds of mistrust and envy has been planted, as Dr. William Lynch’s plan (1712), on us (Ethiopians & Eritreans), thanks to those who played dirty politics. Now, I wouldn’t be surprised, if things go to normal as we were just before the war, which bring us to square one. That, I think, is in the next menu. Wait until you here this: Ethiopia started to use Assab with the head line in BBC & Reuters, by Alexander Last. The question is, would the people of Ethiopia, mainly of Tigray and the people of Eritrea play the same card that Meles and Isayas are playing? Time will tell, as the people of Tigray revolted in the exploitation of Ethiopian resources by Eritrea (1991-1998) and closed all corridors of passage to Eritrea, triggering the war.
When Ethiopia was wagging war with Eritrea, Ethiopia was cutting two interrelated hands of interest in Ethiopian resources, these being, the economy of Ethiopia not to be exploited by Eritrea and Egypt’s everlasting quench of Abbay waters. Eritrean and Egyptian questions of our resources from Ethiopia are survival issues, which should be addressed in cooperation with Ethiopia, not by force. Whatever they gave a reason to the invasion of Ethiopia, the war was successfully completed, thanks to the 12 (dissident group) plus 5 (of which 3 surrender to Meles lately). Thank you, history is going to remember you well.
Ethiopians should remember of an article by Robin Mckie (BBC, December 20, 1999), Nile water may prove thicker than blood, whereby Egypt threatened to attack Ethiopia for taking too much from the Nile. Then, it was surprising to read Egypt’s Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mahmoud Abu Zeid, openly ruled out any Ethiopian projects on the Nile on 3/14/2001. Abu Zeid said, "The plan, which benefits Ethiopia for fifty years, has been prepared by French, Italian and British consultants,". You start yelling, Ye Heg Yaleh (where is the justice), when you read something like this. Was this what Meles has been asked to give a concession, before. Who has been benefiting of Nile waters? Was it Egypt or Ethiopia? How dummy do they think we are? It is Egypt who was/is benefiting not only from our own waters, but also from Ethiopian rich soils which has been fertilized by our ancestors blood bath and bones. Who decides about Abbay waters? Should it be Ethiopia, or a bunch of Ferengies from France, Italy and Britain? Wake up and smarten up and consider what is at stake and what was compromised behind doors by PM Meles. If this is not a sale-out, what is? For the future, if there is going to be a revolution, Abbay waters should be at the top of the list, anything else is an ambition to come to power, to fill up the empty pocket. Everybody knows, Egypt had a hand in creating ELF, from where EPLF was evolved, not for the sake of Eritrea but for its own sake. In this war, I think our Eritrean brothers were used as cannon fodder and guinea pigs for Egypt. No wonder, the war zone on the side of Eritrea, was planted by million mines made in Egypt. To Eritreans this war was the most senseless war that they are going to hate as they mature more in politics, to Ethiopians - it was self defense, to Egyptians it is the most brilliant & effective way of fighting this war without loosing not a single life and they got what they wanted, thanks to USA/Meles.
After the war is complete, now the whole world knows that Ethiopia has a very tough defense forces who can climb the un-climbable Aiga, the king of mountains, who came out shinning from the war, like a gold from the fire. Remember, Egypt bought extremely high volume of armament from USA, while Ethiopia was preparing for the last assault on Eritrea. They call it fear in case of …….. Even if, Egypt had a very high quality of weapons, she does not have the well disciplined and trained army as Ethiopia. According to the fact on the ground, Ethiopia should have played the real politics in the horn. But, CIA/USA and Britain don’t like the balance of shifting power. The way it is serves them well in their immortal interest. They are wicked.
As a white slave owner, Dr. William Lynch, in 1712 on the bank of James River, said you must use the light skin slaves vs., the dark skin slaves, the fine hair vs., the coarse or curly hair. He goes on indicating that if the black slaves received this indoctrination, it shall carry on and will become self refueling for hundreds of years, maybe for thousands. This is the most destructive plan, I have ever come across in my life. Now think about the mistrust that we have with Eritreans and the real traditional enemies, our ancestors encountered. Who do you think the Ferengies will fever when it comes to Egypt, Ethiopia and Eritrea? Thus, CIA should move and act fast before Ethiopia becomes out of hand. Egypt is a strategic allay of USA, second to Israel in the middle east and the horn of Africa. Ethiopia or Eritrea are nowhere near Egypt, when it comes to being an ally with the USA. The shift of power to Ethiopia means the use of Abbay whether USA like it or not, if the hard-liners stay in power. In recent years, the hard-liners were giving hints, over and over that we Ethiopians are going to use Abbay no matter what. I have witnessed the dramatic demonstration in Addis against USA and Britain just before the last assult against Eritrea. The satellite dishes of USA was broken by angry Ethiopians to pieces. A gun fire was heard in British Consulate in Addis. Elaborate all these with dawned spy airplane. Do you think, that kind of heroism was done by the soft-liner, Meles. That kind of behavior is not tolerated by USA or Britain, specially in black-curly Africa, such as Ethiopia and Eritrea, whether you eat injera or spaghetti.
Ethiopians must have man enough who have the bolls like our ancestors for such a drastic change within the horn of Africa, if we want to use Abbay. We need hard-liners not soft-liners, real Ethiopians not sale-outs to do the upside down of the horn to play real politics. Nevertheless, we are witnessing who have been kicked out not by Meles mind you, but by the CIA in this tragic moment. It is the saddest moment of my political life as Tigrean and Ethiopian, who contributed a lot to this struggle, but never had no one in power to say the least. Meaning I am impartial to being any one in power as long as the leader is not a sale-out. Yes, it is about eritrea in a small letter, but about EGYPT in a big picture.
This is not only a coup d'etat by CIA against our hard-liners, but a coup d'etat against our country - Ethiopia. Yes, it is Quoreta in the name of bonapartism by the CIA/ Meles. Our traditional enemies never win through war, but they always won during peace. I bet this arrangement was complete during Meles's visit for two weeks to the USA after the war. Thank you Meles, history is going to remember you in kind.
The politics of the horn has been taking our Kings before, and now it is taking our heroes and heroines in our own eyes. The question to CIA is, are we condemned to be POOR for the rest of our lives, because we happen to be born in the horn of your strategic place? Ayieeee Ferengie ..... It was true, our Kings and Queens warned us long time ago, not trust Ferengies. It is time we stand on our ancestors words.
Recommendations:
- It will be a grave mistake to touch the dissidents rights.
- The differences surfaced lately should be resolved peacefully and sensibly, if some sense is left with PM Meles.
- The dissident group should return back to their positions, apologizing only for the walk-out, if they did, just that.
- If Eritrea can not handle the pressure of being separated, then it is time to think of confederation with the motherland - mamma Ethiopia. Trust me, you can’t have it both ways. Lets stop the everlasting cycle of violence of each other and concentrate on our traditional enemies instead.
United We Stand. Thank you, kindly.
